Become a Trustee

Help us make a lasting difference to women, children and teenagers fleeing from domestic abuse 

Juno Women’s Aid is a registered charity empowering women, children and teenagers to live free from abuse.  Juno is the largest domestic abuse organisation in Nottingham and one of the largest in the UK.  We are looking for passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help steer our work towards a n even greater impact. 

Can you work as part of a Board of Trustees to: 

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure we deliver on our charitable objectives? 
  • Uphold the highest standards of governance and compliance with charity law? 
  • Act as an advocate for our cause and help us build strong relationships with our stakeholders? 
  • Attend board meetings six times a year and contribute to key decisions? 

What we’re looking for 

  • A genuine commitment to our mission values and standards 
  • Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively 
  • Willingness to dedicate time and energy to support our goals 
  • We particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience in housing, legal, marketing, but enthusiasm and commitment are just as important.   
  • We encourage applications from under-represented groups  

Time Commitment 

Approximately 6 hours per month depending, including preparation and attendance at meetings.
