JUNO Women's Aid

Volunteering at Juno

WE'RE SEArCHING FOR LIKE MINDED WOMEN TO BE PART OF OUR TEAM.

Volunteering is the foundation upon which Juno Women’s Aid has been built. In 1979 a group of survivors and women activists came together to set up services for women and children experiencing domestic violence and abuse. For over 45 years Juno have provided, developed and honed those services. This has been made possible with the vital continuing support, hard work and influence of volunteers.

Who can volunteer?

To volunteer with Juno you must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Not have been supported by a Domestic Abuse support service (such as Juno) in last 6 months

How can I volunteer?

There are several different ways to volunteer, see below.

Do you offer student placements?

We truly value the important role that student placements play in developing future professionals and strengthening the sector. However, due to current capacity constraints, we are not able to offer student placements at this time.

This position will be reviewed in the autumn as part of our forward planning process. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to check back for updates.

  • They increase our reach with messaging and widen community knowledge of Juno Women’s Aid.
  • They inform the development and improvement of our services, bringing new ideas opinions and approaches.

Why volunteer for us?

Volunteers have been integral to Juno Women’s Aid work and we recognise that together we can be more effective in all that we do. We want volunteers to get the most out of their experience and are committed to making volunteering inclusive, meaningful and impactful.

Have a question about volunteering?

"Every day is different. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I feel I am making a contribution to the organisation in some small way"
