NOTTS500 Campaign

NOTTS500 Banner

Juno Women’s Aid is proud to announce it has received a £9,995 grant from the Rosa – Voices from the Frontline fund to support the development and delivery of its pioneering Notts500 campaign.

This funding will enable Juno to galvanise support from 500 men across Nottinghamshire, calling on them to publicly stand against violence against women and girls (VAWG) and become visible allies in ending gender-based violence.

The funding will enable Juno to activate three strategic pillars:

  • Host three roundtable events with male allies, community leaders, and sector stakeholders to drive dialogue, accountability, and culture change.
  • Deliver a powerful social media campaign to build momentum, raise awareness, and spotlight the voices of women and girls affected by male violence.
  • Commission a professionally produced video to amplify campaign messages, reach wider audiences, and inspire tangible action.

The Notts500 campaign is rooted in the belief that allyship, visibility, and collective action are critical to transforming the conditions that allow gender-based violence to persist.

By engaging men as advocates and upstanders, Juno aims to shift the narrative from awareness to responsibility.

“As men, we have a responsibility to be holding each other to account and tackle the spiral of domestic violence – we want Notts500 to be a conversation starter that leads to real change in terms of attitudes, outlooks and awareness.”
Tom Snee
NOTTS500 Ambassador
"The Notts500 campaign has made me reflect on how I can authentically support women without overstepping or overcompensating. It's about being an ally in a genuine, respectful way.”
Amani Darr
NOTTS500 Ambassador
“Partnering with Juno has given me an insight into the abuse suffered by far too many women, and ignored by far too many men. Personally, as a father to both a boy and a girl, I want to make a stand to say it’s not acceptable. Men need to stand together to make a real change.”
Kevin Smith
NOTTS500 Ambassador
“My involvement in Notts500 comes from that same belief: the change begins at home, with open conversations, encouraging curiosity, and a commitment to raising the next generation with a deeper understanding of the impact their actions can have on others.”
Al Booth
NOTTS500 Ambassador
