JUNO Women's Aid

6-8 WEEK GROUP PROGRAMME

Escape The Trap

Escape the trap is a healthy relationships group programme for teens who have experienced DVA within their own intimate relationships or within their family homes.

The programme is run between 6-8 weeks (excluding half terms). Teens need to be aged between 13-17 years old and can be male or female.

This programme can only be requested by a secondary school, college or other youth service setting, for a group of young people who have been identified by the referrer as requiring support and meeting the above criteria. We will then work with the referrer to facilitate the group work within their facilities.

If the teen is deemed to be Gillick competent, then we will require consent directly from the teen for the referral and for support to commence. If the teen does not meet this threshold, then we will require consent from the parent who is deemed ‘safe’. Or depending on their individual needs we may have to review their support and potentially offer 1:1 support or signpost on instead.
