Response to Complex Needs
THE RIGHT TO FEEL SAFE & GET SUPPORT
Specialist Support for Women with Complex Needs
Juno’s R2C (Response to Complex Needs) service provides specialist support for women who have experienced domestic abuse and are living with additional complex needs. This service is delivered by specialist R2C Workers with expertise in working across multiple disadvantage, ensuring women receive coordinated, holistic support.
We work with women affected by homelessness or housing insecurity, substance use (drugs and/or alcohol), mental ill health, and disabilities. These overlapping challenges can significantly increase vulnerability to abuse and create additional barriers to accessing safety, support, and long-term stability.
R2C Workers offer intensive, trauma-informed advocacy, supporting women to navigate fragmented systems and engage with services at a pace that feels safe and manageable. This includes multi-agency working with housing, health, mental health services, substance use services, adult social care, and criminal justice partners, to reduce risk and prevent women from being excluded or falling through gaps in provision.
The service prioritises relationship-based support, recognising that trust, consistency, and flexibility are critical when working with women who may have experienced repeated trauma, instability, or service disengagement. The focus is on harm reduction, recovery, and empowerment, supporting women to improve safety, wellbeing, and access to sustainable housing and support.
“If I did not have this help in those times, I do not know what my life would be like, especially [because of] the support from Juno.”
