Juno Women’s Aid is proud to announce it has received a £9,995 grant from the Rosa – Voices from the Frontline fund to support the development and delivery of its pioneering Notts500 campaign.
This funding will enable Juno to galvanise support from 500 men across Nottinghamshire, calling on them to publicly stand against violence against women and girls (VAWG) and become visible allies in ending gender-based violence.
The funding will enable Juno to activate three strategic pillars:
- Host three roundtable events with male allies, community leaders, and sector stakeholders to drive dialogue, accountability, and culture change;
- Deliver a powerful social media campaign to build momentum, raise awareness, and spotlight the voices of women and girls affected by male violence;
- Commission a professionally produced video to amplify campaign messages, reach wider audiences, and inspire tangible action.
“This funding from Rosa is instrumental in taking the Notts500 campaign from concept to reality,” said Tasarla Larner, Fundraising and Communications Manager at Juno Women’s Aid. “Violence against women and girls is not just a women’s issue – it’s a societal issue. We’re inviting men to step up, speak out, and show that Nottingham stands united for change.”
The Notts500 campaign is rooted in the belief that allyship, visibility, and collective action are critical to transforming the conditions that allow gender-based violence to persist. By engaging men as advocates and upstanders, Juno aims to shift the narrative from awareness to responsibility.
Rosa’s Voices from the Frontline fund supports women- and girl-led organisations to campaign, influence, and raise awareness of the systemic issues facing women and girls in the UK. This grant recognises Juno’s continued leadership in the VAWG sector and its commitment to intersectional, survivor-led activism.
