Youth forum for young people

Juno Voices

The Juno Voices is a youth forum for young people who have experienced domestic abuse aged from 13-20 (with males up to the age of 17), living in Nottingham.

The youth forum offers young people the opportunity to come together in a safe space for peer support, therapeutic activities and a chance to make a difference in the lives of CYP experiencing DVA.

Juno have successfully ran a number of sessions to develop the forum and has an increased number of young people joining. We now have over 20 young people registered to the Forum.

The Forum sessions have been hosted at the Nottingham Contemporary and the young people have been working closely with an artist to work on an art project around domestic abuse. This has been a great opportunity to allow the young people to share their stories and express their feelings in a creative way. It has also encouraged conversations and has allowed the young people to start to build a network of people that share similar experiences, creating a real sense of community within the group and knowing that they’re not alone.

During the meetings and through social media we regularly request feedback and input from our young people as to what they would like to see at future sessions/events.
